1/24 UPDATE: GVSU Alternative Breaks Volunteer Day and the GVSU Community Service Learning Center‘s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service & Solidarity were a success this weekend! Over 200 Grand Valley State University students volunteered and served with nonprofits throughoutThe City of Grand Rapids. A few of the fantastic organizations we worked with were Our Kitchen Table, Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities, Linc Up, The Other Way Ministries, East Hills Council of Neighbors, Masjid At Tawheed, Alternative Pathways, Riverside Park., Spartan Stores Ymca,Rays of Hope International, and Women At Risk, International. It was a great day of education, service, and reflection, and we look forward to working with all of these community partners again in the future. A big thank you to all who were involved!
